One of the most common things people say in front of my work is "I wish I could afford one of your paintings." If you're a real person — keeping society rolling — I want you to have my work too. I was a volunteer lifeboatman for 26 years, broke for much of it. I know what key workers look like up close. These paintings belong on their walls as much as anyone else's — and I didn't want money to be the thing that stopped that.
A deferred payment scheme, nothing more complicated than that. You choose a painting, set up a standing order for whatever you can manage each month, and it comes to live with you straight away.
Minimum £30 a month. No interest, ever. No fixed end date — you pay until it's paid off. There's a dashboard to keep tabs on where you are, and you can take payment holidays if life gets in the way. The painting goes home with you after the first payment, registered with a TOAT token as proof of ownership. When your payments are done the painting will probably be worth more than you paid — the definition of an investment — and the TOAT will acknowledge it's entirely yours. You've started your original art collection.
