“Each of my paintings is a one-off — created with intent, spontaneity, and a deep connection to place.”
I’m Tony Parsons, a professional plein air oil painter based on the Sussex coast. I paint in oils on location around the world — from the Sussex coastline to the Bahamas, from Venice to the wilder shores of Cornwall. Whether I’m knee-deep on a shoreline capturing the shimmer of reflected light, or on a clifftop wrestling with the movement of clouds, the goal is the same: to make something that holds your attention and earns its place on your wall.
Most of my work is painted outdoors in a single session — the panoramic 80 × 30 cm format suits a horizon — with occasional studio pieces alongside. Every painting is then signed, framed, and certified with a TOAT provenance token before it reaches a collector.
Every original leaves with its TOAT — a permanent record of the painting and its ownership, registered to the collector and attached to the work itself. It travels with the painting for life. toat.art
Prints of selected works are available through The Gillan Gallery — from small editions to large hand-embellished pieces.
