Plein Air Oil Painter — Brighton
I paint on location — on clifftops, shorelines, harbours and hillsides — chasing the light before it changes. Each work is a single session, painted in oil direct from life.
Each painting is unique, certified with TOAT provenance and delivered framed. 0% monthly payments over up to two years — the painting leaves on your first payment.

"Each of my paintings is a one-off — created with intent, spontaneity, and a deep connection to place."
I'm Tony Parsons, a professional plein air oil painter based in Brighton. I paint in oils on location around the world — from the Sussex coastline to the Bahamas, from the harbours of Monaco to the wilder shores of Cornwall.
Whether I'm knee-deep on a shoreline capturing the shimmer of reflected light, or on a clifftop wrestling with the movement of clouds, the goal is the same: to make something that holds your attention and earns its place on your wall.
I work primarily in 80×30cm and A3 formats — the panoramic format that suits a horizon. Paintings are created in a single session, then signed, framed, and certified with a TOAT provenance token before they reach a collector.
Prints of selected works are available through The Gillan Gallery — from small affordable editions to large hand-embellished prints.
With a reputation built on evocative landscapes and years of portrait experience, I bring depth and emotion at any scale — from an intimate A3 to a two-metre vista.
A location that matters to you — your boat's home port, a coastline you return to, a view from a window. I can paint on site or from reference material.
Formal portraits to caricatures — painted with character and likeability. I work from photography or life. Corporate, personal, family.
A permanent artistic record of your premises, your people, your event. Paintings commissioned for offices, boardrooms, regattas, and anniversaries.
Selected works — some held back from public listing, some works in progress — are available for private viewing. If you've been invited, enter your code below.
